Beauty Products I use daily

I had this idea for the last few days now as nearly everything that I use everyday is running out; no money until next week to replace them but I can tell you which brands I use daily, when I have them on a average day. I’m not going to do it in order to what I put on my first; it’s just too technical, along with I use different brands at different times.

I use Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleansing Water to take off any make up off that I may of missed when I use B. Micellar Cleansing Water.

I use B. Micellar Cleansing Water first before anything else. Just to make sure that my make up is off or there’s anymore left that I’ve missed. I also use B. Make Up brushes to apply the correct make up that I use.

I use Revlon make up of contouring and corrector. Two of the most expensive things that I buy but I don’t care to be honest I like the brand and it works for my skin.

I use out of the Collection range Sheer Loose Powder Ivory, unless they are out of stock I use something that’s closer to it. Compressed Powder Ivory unless they are out of stock then I go for something closer to it. I also use Medium Cool or Fair Concler and I also use black liquid eyeliner.

I use Barry M Ivory foundation and Primer. If they don’t have my foundation I try and get something near to it.

I use Maybelline New York Massacre the extreme look (red massacre one) can’t remember the actual name of it. Maybelline nude colours eye shadows and sometimes their contour colours but not that often.

I use Simple Cleansing lotion, make up wipes and make up remover if I ran out of the wipes or I haven’t got anymore Cleansing Water left.

That’s basically the only things that I use for my daily make up. I sometimes buy double of things so that it will keep me going for about four months or so to keep me going for a bit while longer

Body Shaming

The action or practice of humiliating someone by making mocking or critical comments about their body shape or size.

‘Body Image’ Someone perceives their body and assumes that others may perceive them. This image can also affected by family, friends, social pressure and the media. People who are unhappy with the bodies; this is because they don’t seek healthy nutrition information may develop lots of different eating disorders, meaning that ‘Eating disorders’ are unhealthy relationships with food that may include fasting, constant dieting, or binging and purging.

Body image is closely linked to self-esteem; meaning low self-esteem in adolescents can lead to eating disorders, early sexual activity, substance use and suicidal thoughts. This is where you can post encouraging notes in your school bathrooms to be able to brighten your classmates day.

Approximately of the women 91% women are unhappy with their bodies and resort to dieting to be achieve their ideal body shape. However unfortunately only 5% of the women who naturally possess the body type often portrayed but the Americans in the media.

58% of the college – aged girls feel that they are being pressured to be a certain weight; this is because of other girls that they see in magazines, idols and other girls in their year pressure them to be in that weight or think that they should be that weight but yet it confuses them of who they are and their true identity. The studies shows that there the more reality of television young girls watched the more likely is to be able to find appearance that are important to them.

However there are 1/3 of the people who admit that they have ‘normal dieting’ who merge the pathological dieting. To which you will find 1/4 who those will suffer from a partial or full on eating disorder. A survey had showing that 40% of women and about 20% have agreed in which they would consider the cosmetic surgery in the future; which the statistics have remained the relatively that are constant, that’s across the gender, age, martial status, and race.

Students; especially girls who consume more mainstream media, place the greater importance on the sexiness and the overall appearance than who do not consume as too much. This is where I have mentioned it roughly in the previous paragraph about the students at college.

The fact that 95% of people eating disorders are between the ages of 12 to 25; which only 10% of the people, who are suffering from an eating disorder will only seek the professional help.

In other research that I have read and what has brought to my attention is that 90% of teens unhappy with body shape; nine of ten the British teenage girls who are unhappy with their bodies, are within their mother’s who seem to appear to be responsible to which passes on their own insecurities.

Out of the 2,000 girls who were questioned for a poll that was given to them; at the time it was set towards them at the time, only 8% who had said that they were ‘happy’ with their appearance. Meanwhile the 87% say that they were ‘unhappy’ about their appearance. According to the teen Magazine survey for Bliss; those who had said that were unhappy about their appearance, was due to the thoughts of their own mothers had some what ‘insecure about their own body image’. This can be because they could over hear what they mothers talking to their female friends or partners and etc; to which makes the 90% of the teens say that they are unhappy about their bodies, and think that their mothers are talking about them or they don’t want to end up like their mothers.

Whilst there are 19% of the teenage girls who were questioned about being over weight; when actually 67% thought they needed to loose weight, this shows that just 64% of these girls are under 13 have already been on a diet from a very young age.

The research that I had disclosed that there are some worrying facts that there are long lengths of young girls; would go on their quests for a beauty bodies, because they can’t seek for help or have the confidence to ask for help or talk about it until it is too late. A quarter of 14 year olds (26%) have said to the researchers who have done the polls and etc. Have actually considered having the plastic surgery or even taking the diet pills; which have rising within those who were overweight to 42%, which you may find within the teens that almost fifth (19%) have told the researchers that they were already suffering from eating disorder such like anorexia or bulimia.

I am currently in my late 20’s now; just slowly coming out of depression and anxiety once again, I would be insecure about my body the way I look and etc. Throughout my teens and etc; I would show that I wouldn’t care but actually I really did care about what I looked like, how I would dress and what not. I would compare myself to other people; I wish I was pretty, I wish I didn’t put so much weight on and etc. When I was in my mental state of mind I would just bing eat; whatever money I had I would go and get family packs of crips, chocolate and fizzy drinks or even just sleep my days away. Part of my mental health was because I didn’t like myself or who I was.

I do have lots of positive about myself when I make the effort of making myself look really nice; look pretty, looking stunning and I take pictures when I do to post them on Instagram. I either caption them or just leave them on how it is; because I have no words to describe them, but I know that I have caught a really good and positive photo of myself at the time I had taken it.

I am slowly getting the chance of getting to know myself; feeling the confidence that I need to know that it’s okay to have a bit of weight, I know when I do my make up and looking nice that I know its the real me. Even when I don’t feel like it and feel bad about myself; I try my hardest to be able to look presentable as much as I can, even if I’m not going anywhere special.

The worst bit about shaving!

The worst part of grooming is shaving! Oh my gosh you will understand why I don’t like my legs from the hips down.

Over the years since I have entered my 20’s I have caught myself so many times shaving that were so deep to the point they ended up scarring. Don’t think I’m doing it on purpose I’m really not honestly; scouts honour that this is not what you think, I wouldn’t do that.

When I am shaving I tend to get little ones that I can manage but when it comes you catch yourself the wrong way. Oh my gosh! So painful the first time I think I did it was when I was 21/22 where I caught myself on my left leg; where your foot and your leg joins together, that was so deep that it turned into a scar. Every summer when the English weather comes as a beautiful I notice the scar; which makes me think how the hell did I do that, then I remember how I did it.

The second one was when I was 25 and I was going on a second date with someone; thats when I caught the inside of my right like I think it was just above the small ankle bone on the inside of the leg, I was so annoyed that I had done it just before a date as well. So embarrassing that was.

My most recent one at the age of 26 was on my right leg above my ankle; only recently, well the other day that it was on a tendon where I cut it. If it went any deeper than it was I’m not sure what I would of done to be honest; I don’t think I could freak my sister out any more that weekend, as I had to calm her down because she was thrown in the deep end of being a responsible adult along with annoyed with people all week. Don’t blame her to be honest. So I’ve got to wait for that to heal; be great one to tell a boyfriend to be if I ever had one how I got my scars all over my legs, even the tiny ones can scare on your legs as well.

Oh my gosh do you know what’s even more embarrassing that having scars on your legs from shaving? Is a whole chunk of hair that you missed shaving and you barely notice it until your out someone and something catches your eye. Your like oh my gosh; how the hell did I manage to miss that, then you start being paranoid about how many people walking behind you and notice the clump of hair on the back of your leg? Has anyone done that before?

I’m quite paranoid about my legs on show in the first place because I’m not use to them being out; along with when my legs rub together and they mark my skin, which makes me feel a whole lot worse about it being on show in the first place. Does anyone have the same issue as me or do they not? I want to know who’s on the same boat as me because everyone has those insecurities about something about their bodies; one way or another but I have loads that I don’t like about my body, I think I’ll talk about that on a different day as this was about what the worst thing that could happen to you when shaving.

Has anyone else got any thing about their worst time when shaving? Let me know down below I am very intrigued on their worst time shaving is? I know that I’m not alone.

The Summer Top Up Sale

Just as July about to start; I start running out of cream, where best to get nice moisture cream. None other than The Body Shop think I have found me go to store guys; even when it’s a bargain bucket going on there guys, if you work out the best deals when you go in.

After a series of researching of how much of my fine luxury items that I had brought in The Body Shop summer sale; I had to do a bit of maths to know what the percentage was of each product, I do have to point out that I did have to use a calculator to workout. Never got on with maths in the first place; plus the receipt didn’t really have much of the original price to it, so I had to look it up for starters.

I do have to confess my dear sweet readers; I don’t even have Maths GCSE, not because I didn’t want to learn. It was because I didn’t like it and it didn’t like it; so I gave up even trying to get on with it, that’s what calculators are for in my book. Along with I prefer the whole writing side of things than maths calculations; that’s why I wouldn’t want to work in a store again, however is a maths question for you. I want to see if you can work it out; by the time you get to the end of the bottom of this blog, which one will last the longest and more cheapest way of doing it.

Okay. I walked into The Body Shop with one of my closest friends Megan Ann; to begin I started picked up three different types of body cream Shea, Strawberry and Almond & milk. Each product had 200ml with the costing of each pot of £15 a time; with one pot it may take me a month and few days to use up, if I had three of those it would cost me £45 for three months.

As I went round the table I had seen a sale on the table. Once I had got round to the other side; to my amazement I could get more in a big pot of moisturising cream, in each one pot came with 400ml. The original price of the product was £30 each; however with the sale on using the 10% which came down to £20 a pot. From the original price of £30 I would get 60 days worth of money from having two products that big; using the sale of 10% which comes to £20, I would get 40 days out of the two products. 60 days is roughly 12 weeks in total use of both products; with the summer sales of £20, the number of weeks of 40 days are roughly 12 weeks. It looks more likely the 400ml is more worth it than the 200ml moisturiser that I had originally.

When it comes to the shower gel if I went for the 250ml strawberry shower gel costing me £5 a time. Compare it to the big strawberry shower gel at 750ml at the original price of £15.00 to the sale price of 5% which came to £10.00. This big bottle can last me about 3-5months; as I had brought this on my birthday at the start of the year, yep that’s a lot of showers and baths in that time.

All in all my little goodies came to £50 just for three items that I use daily; what’s more is that if I brought three pots of 200ml and the shower gel, it would be £55 all together. So the best option for me to get the three goodies for £50 than four goodies for £55.

Apologies if my maths isn’t correct it’s just an average estimate thing than the full thing. Love my little hauls that I love getting that I use daily. I will have another haul coming soon keep an eye out for it in the next couple of days; something that you may think, hang on this is completely different to than any other haul she has done

Age before beauty

Introduction Do you ever find yourself when you take a photo of yourself or do something that someone points out to you that you do the exact same thing as someone else in your family? I get that a lot even some people say that I look younger that I am. Which is a nice compliment if you ask me.

Age before beauty

When you look at yourself; sometimes you think I don’t feel pretty enough or feel comfortable in your own skin, you think why should I bother trying to make myself feel any better than I do already. I’m like that most days of the week to be honest; then I look at my pictures over the years or weeks, notice how much my face can change when I have different hair colours or different shape hair cut.

I get compliments where people ask me how old I am? I tell them that I’m 26; to their surprise they thought I would be like 18-20, which is quite nice complement and also maybe a bit higher but don’t get that often. I’m not the only one in my family that doesn’t age either they still look like a school boy; I don’t see it but then when you look back at the pictures, your like oh yeah they do a bit or I do a bit. I think I take after someone in the family to be honest; it’s like my skin where it’s so soft that I can easily bruise easily or accidentally cut myself on something, I defiantly take after someone on that front I can tell you that right now.

I always want to know where my looks come from but I don’t have any photos of my other relatives to have a look at; but then again as I’m writing this along with looking at the photos at the top, I can see some resemblance of some of my relatives on the other side of my family that I barely know. I don’t know I’m just guessing as much as anyone else to be honest.

Age and beauty is a funny thing when it comes to looks; as no one can really explain to you how it works, also you sometimes you may look like your family but sometimes you don’t look anything like them at all. I know that from experience also.

Have a good day everyone. Enjoy yourselves as much as you can.

My Morning Routine for weekends/holidays

Introduction

One night or one morning during this Easter holidays of 2017; I thought why not do a weekend/ holiday routines that I have, by sharing it with you guys of what I do in the mornings of getting ready. Weather it’s getting ready to go out or looking like I’m going out or not whatever the case maybe but knowing that I can feel better with myself.

My morning routine for weekends/ holidays

Okay you want me to let you in a little secret of what I do in my morning routines in the weekends and holidays. Is that a yes? Okay here we go. I don’t have a set time in the holidays or the weekends I let go with the flow of what mood I’m in to be honest with you. Plus my face changes shape depends on the way I do my make up; no I’m not a shape shifter or anything like that, come on guys I don’t know where I get my cuteness from.

My morning routine probably starts whenever I decided to get out of bed but never late after 12. Due to the fact that after that I can’t be bothered to do anything if it reaches to one in the afternoon. That’s when I know it’s going to be a lazy one.

From between 7-12 is most likely to be my routine slot for getting ready for the day during time off; as I have more time to do things, like shower washing my hair, drying it, getting dressed, do my make up and depending on what mood I’m in but also depending on if I washed my hair or my hair behaves itself I’ll put my hair extensions in.

The average time depending if its the full thing of hair and shower in the mornings routine about an hour or two no longer than that. This is compared to my work routine which is another day blog.

Here is my average 7-12 one-two hours getting ready routine:

  • Laying in bed for awhile
  • Breakfast
  • Shower/washing hair
  • Drying my hair
  • Getting dressed
  • Brushing teeth if I haven’t done it before then
  • Hair/make up
  • Instagram selfie with a positive note for the day.

This is pretty much my outline of my routine. What is your morning routine for the day? Do you have one at all? Let me know.
